Truth: I Dare You.

Truth: I Dare You.

I’m inspired by one of my Mastermind friends, Chelsey-Marie an amazing and super-talented brand-strategist and daring entrepreneur to play a little game with you today.

In my book, Life Well Spoken (p.263) I share a technique that I love to use when I’m having a really hard time with gratitude. (If you’ve been on my newsletter list for a couple years, you’ll recognize this one!) Usually these are the times when:

a) My head is so far up my ass I can’t see daylight.

b) The little voices have run amok and I’m seeing the world through their limited point- of-view.

c) I’m lying to myself. (This one is tricky because it will look like the problem is “out there”).

No matter which of the above is happening, this technique works great. I’m just going to add a little word into the process that will cut right through the crap in no time and have you experiencing freedom, lightness, and a fresh perspective about whatever is troubling you.

If you don’t have the book yet, here’s how it goes:

Dr. Dain Heer, from Access Consciousness™ suggests writing:

  • 3 things you’re grateful for (or more, but at least 3) and
  • 3 things “that you’re not currently grateful for, but if you would or could somehow become grateful for would allow you to have gratitude for your life and living right now.”

After writing those things you’d like to feel grateful for, but currently don’t write the word TRUTH and then allow the words to come, unedited. What is the truth of the situation?

I’ll give you a hint where to find truth: It’s in the way you FEEL deep down. It’s what you don’t want to admit to yourself or others. It’s usually where you’ve been lying to yourself and wanting to blame others for what’s happening, when really deep down inside you know you have contributed to the situation in some way and instead of owning it, are feeling like a victim.

If you’re having a hard time recognizing and writing the truth, you can ask yourself some questions, more “tools” from Access Consciousness:

  • “What else is possible?
  • How does it get any better than this?
  • What would it take to change this?
  • What’s right about this I’m not getting?”

Whatever energy comes up around all of that explore and journal about it. Then choose a new action to take based on your insight.

If you’re willing to look at the truth, you will blow through limitations and blocks like nobody’s business…but there’s a catch:

You have to take a new action based on the truth you uncovered.

I DARE you to take a new action.

Email me or leave a comment below. If you want to share your truth and the daring action you are willing to take to create a whole new experience, I’d love to hold that space for you. If you’re feeling stuck (on either the TRUTH or the DARE) email me and we’ll set up a time to chat about how to get unstuck!

From My Heart To Yours,
Kris
