Money and the making of it is on the forefront of every business owner’s mind. Oh, you may tell everyone you’re in it mostly to serve others or humanity, but if you’re being real with yourself you’ll see that if you’re not making money, you don’t really have a business. You may be helping others, but at a serious cost to you, your bank account, your health, and even your close relationships. Believe me, I know.

I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars hiring coaches to help me make money based on their proprietary system that worked for them. I bought programs to learn social media marketing, speak-to-sell templates, and how to write copy for my website. I tried just about everything, and if you’ve been in business for more than a few months – I’m sure you’ve tried many of these things yourself. Furthermore, if you’re like me, you got a little something to use and apply from each person or program – but mostly it didn’t really fit and all that time money, and energy was wasted and put on a digital shelf to collect energetic dust.

I’ll let you in on a little secret…we’ve had it backwards all along.

When the next bright shiny marketing schtick comes along and they start comparing themselves to everyone who seems to be successful and making money hand over fist doing some new system or secret social media ad campaign they jump on board and hand over their money thinking “THIS will be the thing that finally works, that gets me the clients and referrals I want and has my business explode and go stratospheric.”

Here’s the other half of the little secret…the one that has me KNOW we’ve had it backwards all along:

Looking outside ourselves for the roadmap to success rarely works. We can’t sustain it because it’s often not congruent with who we truly are and what we truly want, and why we are in business in the first place.

Also, it’s really important to consider that one person’s definition of success is often very different from what another person’s EXPERIENCE of success is, and if you don’t know what would actually have you feeling happy & successful, then you’ll always look to some other person’s definition of success and try to make it your own. Again – not sustainable.

Every single one of my clients, (even the stratospheric successful ones) have struggled with trying many different things until they finally figured out a formula that works for them as an individual. And 95% of those ‘successful’ clients have come to me because after spending thousands of dollars elsewhere they were still struggling with:

·    self-doubt and lack of clarity

·    compare-and-despair-itis (feeling like they could never be as good or wealthy as_____)

·    proud of what they accrued financially but still looking for meaning in their work

·    wondering if they can sustain the success because energetically, they are exhausted.

They come seeking themselves: Their true purpose, their unique gifts and strengths, the way they work best, and yes – the way to make money by BEING authentically themselves and creating success on their own terms with a business model that is tailored specifically to them.

This is something many coaches and programs promise, but simply don’t deliver on because they don’t have the tools or roadmap necessary to understand exactly what makes their clients tick and how to transform their struggles and challenges into their greatest profit potential.

This is where BG5 and Human Design differ dramatically from every other program out there. I know this because after spending the last year in the BG5 Career & Business Consultant Certification courses I finally feel FREE from the hustle, free from the overwhelm of trying to decide what I do, with whom, and for what purpose, and free from the questions of how much to charge and whether or not I’m worth it.

I have the tools. I know my personal roadmap for success (and I can show my clients their roadmap as well). I learned how to make decisions I can trust. I know where to invest my time, money and energy in marketing myself and my services. I know what my purpose is, and how I best serve my purpose as a speaker, writer, coach & consultant. I know why I’m here. I know what I have to offer and I don’t compare myself to anyone else because I know we each have a contribution to the whole, there’s no need to compete for clients or resources. I know whether or not social media works for me as a marketing tool, and how to use it (or not!).

You see, most people focus on DOING things to make money thinking that will make them feel confident, secure, happy and successful. That may work for a short time, but it’s not sustainable.

I feel satisfied when I lay my head on my pillow, and I’ve made more money in the last year simply being me and attracting my ideal clients, than I ever did trying to do what others told me I should do based on their opinion or system. I have people close to me tell me they can feel the difference just being with me. My energy is different. I transmit clarity where I used to transmit uncertainty and chaos because I was always trying something new, seeing if it would finally yield the results I was seeking.

I know what to DO to make money, because I know who I AM.
